- Sign up with the ACDEC as a volunteer to help Democrats on Election Day and before. Staff a table at arts festivals and other events, poll greet during elections, or walk in your precinct.
- Become a Precinct Coordinator or Volunteer/Support candidates
- Help get out the vote on election day
- Participate in voter contact programs (phone bank/canvass)
- Participate in a Neighborhood Democrats group
- Help organize our neighborhoods
- Recruit volunteers from people you know
- Host a social event/meeting
- Help us create a precinct/neighborhood welcome program for new residents
- Attend DEC monthly meetings and consider joining the DEC: Second Wednesday of every month at the Alachua County Administration Building
- Join or volunteer to support another local activist group or caucus, or actively work to get out the vote in your current organization, such as:
Your church or social organization, DFA (Democracy for America), Young Democrats (for Democrats below 41 years of age)- UF College Democrats and SFCC College Democrats
- Black Caucus
- Disability Caucus
- Young Democrats
- Latino Caucus
- Stonewall Democrats
- Democratic Woman’s Club
- High School Democratic clubs
- Participate in the Precinct Action Network (PAN)
- Participate in a Training (check this site for dates and times)
- Buy a Democracy Bond
- Support the 50-State Strategy by helping fund full-time field staff through the State Partnership Project by becoming a monthly sustaining donor
- Write Letters to the Editor
- Help spread the Democratic message to local papers and radio talk shows by joining the Writer’s Guild or use the OFA Letters to the Editor tool.
- Join the Democratic Party Media/Communications committee (call the Party office for meeting dates and times – (352) 383-1730)
- Consider holding a LTE get-together in your home
