The Alachua County Democrats with Disabilities Caucus was formed in January 2006.

The purpose of the caucus is to:
1. Strengthen participation within the party
2. Advocate on issues affecting people with disabilities and their families
3. Support and recruit candidates who take a stand promoting equal opportunity, access, and full compliance with the ADA
4. Promote education awareness and self sufficiency (especially employment) for persons with disabilities
5. Encourage registration, voting, and full involvement of Democrats with disabilities in local, state and national elections (including running for office).

The Caucus meets on the third Tuesday of each month at 6:30 pm at the Alachua County Democratic Party Headquarters (901 NW 8th Ave., Suite A-3). ALL Democrats are encouraged to attend.
