Welcome to the Alachua County Democratic party Web site. The Alachua County Executive Committee (ACDEC), the official representative body of registered Democrats in this county, is comprised of Precinct Committeemen and Committeewomen from each of the voting precincts in Alachua County, as well as Democratic elected officials and at-large appointees. It is governed by the State of Florida and the Florida Democratic Party. Each county in Florida has an Executive Committee responsible for discharging Florida Democratic Party affairs within the county.

The main purpose of the Party and of the ACDEC is to elect Democrats to public office! Other major ongoing activities of the ACDEC include raising the awareness of people on issues important to Democrats and promoting Party activity and registration in each precinct.

MEETINGS. ACDEC meetings are open to the public, and committed Democrats are welcome and encouraged to attend. If you wish to represent your precinct, you can apply to become a voting member of the ACDEC, or contact us for more information. Attend a meeting to find out more.
